Ugandan General David Sejusa Tinyefuza Prepares Rebellion From Kigali, Rwanda

General David Sejusa Tinyefuza

General David Sejusa Tinyefuza, exiled to the United Kingdom

Sources within Rwandan Defense Forces, in Kigali, Rwanda, tell AfroAmerica Network that the defected Ugandan General David Sejusa Tinyefuza recently made a brief trip to Kigali, Rwanda. In Kigali, General David Sejusa met Rwandan Defense Forces Inspector General, Major General Jack Nziza, Minister of Defense, General James Kabarebe, Chief of Defense Staff of the Rwandan Defense Forces, General Patrick Nyamvumba, Chief of Staff of the Army, Major General Frank Mushyo Kamanzi, and the leaders of the Rwanda Defense Forces Department (RDF) of Military Intelligence.

According to the sources, the trip to Rwandan by General Sejusa Tinyefuza was to finalize with the Rwandan Military leaders and intelligence services a plan to organize a rebellion aimed at toppling the Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni’s regime. General Sejusa is one of the early comrades of the Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni during his rebellion that eventually brought the National Resistance Army (NRA) to power, 27 years ago. A highly educated – he holds Masters of Laws degree from Makerere University- decorated Ugandan People Defense Forces (UPDF), he was Coordinator of Intelligence services and Senior Presidential Adviser to the President of Uganda, and one of the highest-ranking members of the UPDF.

In April 2013, he fled the country and exiled himself to the United Kingdom, after falling out with Yoweri Museveni. He accused Yoweri Museveni of being a dictator and of grooming his own son, Brigadier General Muhoozi Keinerugaba, to succeed him.

After he fled the country, a letter, he allegedly wrote, was leaked. In it, he requested an investigation into a Yoweri Museveni’s decision to terminate army and government officials who were against the plan to have Brigadier General Muhoozi replace his father, as the next Ugandan President.

The sources within the RDF have also said that during the talks with RDF top military leaders, General David Sejusa disclosed his plan to team up with other exiled Ugandan top military officers, Colonel John Ogole and Colonel Samson Mande, a former UPDF commander. Colonel John Ogole, a Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, USA trained military officer, was the Commander of former Ugandan President Milton Obote’s Special Forces, that fought against National Resistance Army (NRA) during the rebellion in North Western Uganda. He fled Uganda to the United Kingdom after Yoweri Museveni’s NRA seized power.

Other sources, both inside and outside Uganda, have confirmed that General David Sejusa Tinyefuza, Colonel John Ogole, and Colonel Samso Mande have been holding coordination meetings in and outside the United Kingdom, to prepare for the new rebellion and to plan the overthrow of Yoweri Museveni’s regime.

According to the sources within RDF, the plan for the rebellion is well advanced and the Rwandan Military leaders have agreed to help, as long as the rebellion is not launched from the areas close to the borders with Rwanda, and even Southern Uganda. General David Sejusa has asked the RDF leaders to not worry, arguing that both Colonel John Ogole and Colonel Samson Mande, like himself, have a good base and support in Northwestern Uganda and the Luwero Triangle.

Sheesh! a lot of Generals in this region, are they in the same caliber as the Western Generals the likes of US, UK or even Israel. General Tinyefuza, Gen. Nziza, Gen. Kagame, Gen. Kabarebe, Gen. Nyamwasa, Gen. Nyamvumba, Gen. Kamanzi, Gen. Museveni, Gen. Keinerugaba, Gen. Muhoozi, Gen. Nzabamwita, Gen. Murokore….
The list is on and on and on. No wonder there is no end to infighting in the Great Lakes region, why so many Generals and for whose benefit?

Dark continent, how come you compare the western generals and those of the Great Lakes region? Do you know the meaning of a general? If a nation has armed forces that defend its borders and interests, do you want those forces to be led by captains? I think you are jealousy or something. Is it envy that eats you up? I think you need to inquire some knowledge about the armed forces for you to know how those general ranks are being reached at by those who possess and deserve them. Cheers.
